Aged 14–18 and already competing? Week one, we test everything: force plates, 3D motion capture, TPI screen, Trackman speed. Then 10 weeks of gym built on your numbers. Re-test in week 10.
Parents: the money, the safety rules and the health-fund side are further down — jump straight there.
One supervised hour at Elevate Golf Lounge
Term 4 · 10 weeks
Assessment included · claimable on private health
Kept small, coached in person
Coached and corrected in person.
No swing lessons. This is the gym half your coach can’t fit into a lesson.
Not sure you’re ready yet? Ask anyway. That’s what the first call is for.
Standing height is measured every 8 weeks. Grown quickly? The weights hold where they are and the jumping drops for a few weeks. We never test a maximum lift, and nothing goes overhead or across the back while they’re still growing.
If something hurts, the person coaching is also the person qualified to work out whether it’s a training niggle or a growth-plate problem — and to treat it. That’s not true of a gym.
The week-one assessment is included, not extra. Because it’s delivered by a registered chiropractor, the term fee can be claimed on your extras cover, and a second child from the same family gets 10% off.
Both run Monday afternoon, so pick one. This one is gym only.
Australia’s highest-qualified TPI medical and fitness instructor, certified Level 3 in Medical, Fitness and Power, a published researcher in golf injuries, and a current chiropractor on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
The reason that matters for a junior: the person reading the force plates is also the person qualified to tell you when a sore back is a growth-plate problem rather than a training one.

Because yours almost certainly isn’t built from your numbers. Most junior gym work is general strength, done in straight lines, with no measurement behind it. Week one shows you where your speed actually leaks — which side is doing the work, how fast you can put force into the ground — and the ten weeks go at that. If your own program is already doing that, you don’t need us.
Not if you tell us what’s on. The load gets pulled back the week of an event and pushed in the weeks that are clear. Bring your calendar to week one.
No — both programs run Monday afternoon at the same time. Pick the one that fits: this one if you already have a golf coach and want pure physical development, the Junior Squad if you want golf and gym together.
Yes. The program is delivered by a registered chiropractor, so the term fee can be claimed against your family’s extras cover — the week-one assessment included. What you get back depends on your fund and how much of your annual limit is left. You’ll get a receipt with the right item numbers.
We never test a maximum lift. Every weight is one they can control for 8–15 tidy reps, and nothing goes overhead or across the back while they’re still growing. Standing height is measured every 8 weeks, and if a child has grown quickly we hold the load and cut the jumping back for a few weeks.
No. There is no swing instruction here. We measure how the body produces speed and then train that in the gym. Most coaches find it makes their own work stick, because the athlete can finally hold the positions their coach is asking for. Steve is happy to send the week-one report to your coach.
One session: standing on force plates for jumps and swings, wearing motion-capture sensors, the TPI physical screen, grip and strength testing on dynamometers, and clubhead speed on Trackman. No maximum lifts, and nothing hurts.
Only for week one, because the assessment measures clubhead speed on Trackman. Their own clubs are ideal. If that’s awkward, loan clubs are available.
Comfortable gym clothes and trainers, and a water bottle.
Free parking directly out the front, and free street parking around Oxford Street if the front is full.
Nothing is charged when you apply. Steve confirms the place first, then emails a payment link directly. A second child from the same family gets 10% off — mention it in the form and it’s applied to the link.
Nine places and one coach. The program assumes an athlete already competing and willing to train between Mondays — so Steve talks to every family first to make sure it’s the right fit rather than an expensive mismatch.
You get a written report comparing week 1 and week 10. Most athletes continue into the next term with a program rebuilt on the new numbers. There is no lock-in.
A parent or guardian needs to send this one — you’ll be under 18. Steve comes back within a couple of days, usually with a short call first to check the program is the right fit.
The week-one assessment is part of the term, not an extra cost.
